The California Fruit Wine Company brings a whole new spin to alcohol by making wine from fruits other than grapes. This refreshing wine has no added flavoring or colors, just the natural essence of the fruit itself.

To mirror this in the packaging, I let the fruit speak the loudest in the design and commissioned illustrator Amy Holliday to create custom watercolor graphics for the labels. Printed and embossed on textured paper, the design emulates the natural simplicity of the wine. This redesign spurred an exclusive contract with Whole Foods to create custom sangria blends for their So-Pac region.

The California Fruit Wine Company brand identity was inspired by vintage fruit crate labels and the brand colors pay tribute to the beautiful California coastline. With natural tones pulled from the sea and sand, this color palette mimics what is found in nature, just like the wine.
